Dry Needling in Bradenton, FL

Release the Tension Holding You Back

Dry needling isn't a standalone fix. At Tideline we map the movement and loading patterns driving your tension, then use precise needling to release it — so the strength work that keeps it gone can actually take hold.

Foam Rolling and Rest Aren't Touching the Knot That Keeps Coming Back?

The Knot You Can't Stretch Away

You foam roll it, stretch it, dig a lacrosse ball into it — and the same tight spot is back by your next session. Surface tools can't reach the deep trigger points that keep the tension cycling.

Pain That Caps What You Can Train

Tight, guarded muscle changes how you move and load. You start shortening range, avoiding certain lifts, and backing off intensity — and the workaround quietly becomes your new ceiling.

Treatment That Only Chases the Symptom

A quick rub-down where it hurts feels good for an hour, then fades. Without finding what's driving the tension and addressing it directly, the same knot reloads in the same spot every week.

What Tideline Patients Are Saying

Verified reviews from active adults who got back to moving without the tension.

I first went to Tideline Sports Performance for hip pain, but after my initial appointment with Dr. Jaime, she identified that the issue was actually coming from my lower back. Since then, my follow-up appointments have been excellent. Dr. Jaime is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and has been instrumental in helping me address the root cause and make real progress in my recovery. I’m so grateful for the care I’ve received here!

First experience at Tideline Sports Performance was amazing! Dr. Michael Sclafani was very detailed and listened to all the concerns I brought to him. After a brief movement screening, he knew right away what I was struggling with. We did dry needling for the first time which gave me instant relief with my shoulder impingement. He then gave me some at home stretches and I am already feeling back to normal. 10/10 would recommend!🙌🏼

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about dry needling at Tideline.

Does dry needling hurt?

Most people feel a quick twitch or a dull ache as the needle reaches the trigger point, followed by a sense of release. Any soreness usually settles within a day. Your physical therapist adjusts the technique to your comfort and explains each step before starting.

What's the difference between dry needling and acupuncture?

Dry needling is a Western, evidence-based technique performed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy to release muscular trigger points and improve movement. Acupuncture follows traditional Chinese medicine and energy meridians. The tools look similar, but the training, goals, and approach are different.

Do I need a referral for dry needling?

No referral needed. Florida is a direct access state, so you can schedule directly with a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Tideline. Your first visit is a full 60-minute evaluation where we determine whether dry needling fits your plan and goals.

Is dry needling covered by insurance?

Tideline is cash-based, so care isn't dictated by insurance. Sessions are 60 minutes, one-on-one, focused on your goals rather than a billing code. We provide superbills on request for out-of-network reimbursement, and we accept HSA and FSA payments.

How many sessions will I need?

Every case is different, and you'll get a clear picture at your first visit. For many people, dry needling is one part of a short, focused plan — not an open-ended commitment. Our goal is to resolve the issue and keep you training, not keep you coming back.
