Sports Physical Therapy in Lakewood Ranch, FL

Train Again. No Modifications.

Insurance-driven care rushes you through 15-minute shared sessions. At Tideline, every hour belongs to you — one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who knows what it takes to train.

Still Modifying Your Workouts and Waiting for It to Get Better?

The Modifications Keep Adding Up

Scaling the weights, avoiding certain movements, sitting out classes — each one chips away at the training you've built. Rest alone doesn't fix a root cause.

Generic Care That Misses the Point

Insurance-driven care gives you 15 minutes, a shared table, and a generic protocol. If that worked, you wouldn't still be dealing with the same problem.

The Injury Keeps Coming Back

Every training cycle, it flares up again. Without addressing what's driving the problem, you stay stuck in the same cycle of pain, rest, and cautious return.

What Our Athletes Are Saying

Verified reviews from active adults and athletes who've returned to full training.

I went to Dr. Sclafani with two mobility and pain problems. He was able to diagnose, treat and correct both for me in just a few weeks! Specifically my wrist was in pain 24/7 and he was able to work on me for 1 hour and give me home exercises. The pain was gone in two days and has not been back!! I highly recommend Dr. Sclafani and his team at Tideline Sports Performance for any mobility or pain issues you may be facing!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from athletes and active adults considering sports rehabilitation.

Do I need to be an elite athlete to work with Tideline?

Not at all. Tideline works with active adults and athletes at every level — from competitive CrossFit athletes and runners to weekend warriors who love staying fit. If you train regularly and something is getting in the way, you are exactly the kind of person we work with.

Why cash-based instead of accepting insurance?

Insurance-driven care limits session length, frequency, and what a provider can focus on. Cash-based means every 60-minute session is one-on-one with a DPT focused entirely on your goals — not an insurance company's reimbursement schedule. Superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement through your insurer.

What happens during the first session?

Your first session is 60 minutes, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. It includes a full movement assessment, education on what is contributing to your pain, and delivery of a personalized plan of care designed around getting you back to training.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. Tideline accepts HSA and FSA cards in addition to all major credit and debit cards. Installment payment options are also available. If you plan to submit for out-of-network reimbursement, we provide superbills upon request to submit directly to your insurance carrier.

How is this different from going to a regular PT clinic?

At a traditional PT clinic, you often share your session with other patients and spend limited time with the actual therapist. At Tideline, every session is 60 minutes with a DPT — no hand-offs, no divided attention, and a plan built around returning to sport and training.
